Details: Audemars Piguet A-Series

Dear watch aficionado.

These Audemars Piguet 5402ST A-Series are much sought after timepieces. To find them in great condition in full spec combination as the present example is highly rare. It all started back in 1972 when Gerald Genta designed the Royal Oak for Audemars and it is the watch that saved Audemars from closing their doors.

The present watch is in great condition, it retains a super strong case, firm original bracelet, original and matching clasp, original crown, 2 AP links. The dial is in splendid condition, made with the "tapisserie" method and then finished in black galvanic bath and then a thin translucent lacquer to protect the dial from oxidation.

I warmly invite you as well to take a look at the article on my blog about the design of the dial by Gérald Genta of the 3700/1 and AP 5402ST A-Series.

This watch is as well available at my boutique, more information and photos upon request by e-mail at info@watchcollector.lu

Details: Patek Philippe 3700/1 tropical

Dear watch aficionado.

It all started with the 3700/1 for the legendary Patek Philippe Nautilus. For me personally these are the real Nautilus watches by Patek, hours, minutes, date and octagon case. Nothing more, nothing less.

The present example is a superbly preserved watch. It retains a strong case, firm bracelet and a wonderfully aged dial. I warmly invite you as well to take a look at the article on my blog about the design of the dial by Gérald Genta of the 3700/1 and AP 5402ST A-Series.

Dear watch aficionado.

I am personally a big fan of the Rolex 6542 GMTs and they are rare to find in great condition and even rarer in combination as a Full Set.

The present example is simply an amazing watch. It retains its original Bakelite in superb condition, nicely aged dial, strong case and original big logo bracelet. The more it retains as well the original guarantee, certificat de marche, original leaflet, correspondence between Rolex London and the client concerning a service made in 1987 (which service number can be found as well inside the caseback).

This 6542 is certainly a great addition for every high class collection.

Details: early Rolex 6265 tropical

Dear watch aficionado.

I am personally a big fan of the early Daytona's with the simplicity dial design ROC signature. The present example is a 6265 with silver dial and nicely aged tropical sub dials from 1971. To find nowadays a Daytona in good condition is not that easy, especially when you are looking for an early tropical one.

When you are taking a look at the details, how nicely and different the sub dials has aged, that adds that little extra to the present example. The case remains in great condition, it comes with the correct MK2 pushers, correct bezel, correct 6262 caseback.

This watch has an amazing presence on the wrist and is a great daily beater.  Together with this Rolex 6265 black dial Big Red in NOS it would make a great pair for every high class collection.
