Audemars Piguet, Patek Pilippe and Longines @ Christie's auction May 11

For the auction at Christie's on May 11, I picked a bit of a mélange of dress watches and chronographs.

To start, I chose this beautiful and super rare Audemars Piguet minute repeater from 1951. The archives of Audemars Piguet do confirm 3 pieces of this great watch made. But this one is the first and only to date that appears publicly, for the other 2 there is not yet known where they are hiding or if they do even still exist! Audemars Piguet did produce only 47 of 14"' lines movements between 1882 and 1900! Estimated 130 000 € - 250 000 € (LOT N° 204).

The second lot I picked is a very rare, only the second known to date, Patek Philippe 3428 cased in platinum! This one defers to the other known with its diamond set numerals. Estimated 94 000 € - 190 000 € (LOT N° 115)

This one is a beautiful Longines 2 tone sector dial from 1938 cased in 37mm. For me a great timepiece and when putting a beautiful leather strap on this one, I'd say as well a good dress watch too. Estimated 2 900 € - 5 900 € (LOT N°217)

This one is a great Longines chronograph from 1937 with the famous 13ZN movment bearing inside. The interesting thing about this one, and what makes it so special, is the military designation. Great looking enamel dial with luminous arabic numerals and the engraving on the back. The more, it is the first Longine's chronograph in this configuration to appear in public to date! Estimated 15 000 € - 23 000 € (LOT N° 218)

I invite you as well to have a look at the vintage corner on my website of my boutique, some rare and beautiful timepieces are waiting there!

Kind regards.
Christian
