Dear watch aficionado.
With the upcoming sale on July 2nd in London, Watches of Knightsbridge managed again to build a sublime catalogue with great lots and a lot of lots, overall 582! Herewith I would like to present you some of my favorite timepieces offered at this nice sale.
I will start with this great Navitimer, Lot 37. I am a big fan of these early, all black beaded bezel, AOPA Navitimers, especially when they are in great condition as the present example and when they have a retailers signature in this case the signature of a former distributor form France UTI. WOK did put its estimate at 3800£ - 4800£.
I like these Seamasters when one can see that they have had a life, nicely patinated dial, nice case not over polished with some scratches and dents. Especially when they were military issued examples and still in great condition like the present P.A.F (Pakistan Air Forces). I think that this is a very honest and nice timepiece. WOK did put its estimate at 6500£ - 7500£, Lot 267.
These Omega dress watches are in my eyes completely underestimated, even when in sublime condition like the present example, excellent condition, rose gold case and black dial set with luminous indexes. The sub seconds hand seems to have been replaced, but in my eyes this is not a big issue for this nice example. A feast to the eyes of the true gentlemen collector. I really like this example because of its condition and set up. WOK did put its estimate at 1000£ - 1400£. Lot 339.
This is a nice and honest Rolex 6580 with red depth rating at 12 o'clock and Cartier signature at 6 o'clock. The dial looks to have some overall spottings and the lume evenly dark patinated. Some will say, that the dial is a disaster, but for me it is a honest watch aged over the years plus it has the much sought after retailer, Cartier signature and red depth rating at 12 o'clock, serial still present and the Cartier numbers as well present on the back side of the lug. WOK did its estimate at 4500£ - 5500£, Lot 457.
